From Stansted Airport Follow Signs "Way Out" and "M11". Then Cambridge and B.Stortford A120, then B.Stortford A1250 |
Then follow A1250 to Bishop's Stortford & Town Centre. Continue on A1250 towards Hertford.
About 2 miles( 3km ) from M11, just before the pub “Bricklayers Arms” turn left at the mini roundabout up Bells Hill. At mini round-about at the top take the 2nd exit (almost straight over).
After 20 yards (20 metres), just before the “School” sign on the road, turn left down the first drive/lane and No 17 is the 2nd house on the right (behind No 19). Car park in front of the house. Entrance is through the gate into garden.
From the A 10
Turn on to A120 (signpost Stansted Airport) and follow road for about 6 miles passing through the traffic lights at Little Hadham.
At 1st large the round-about by Tesco's store take the 2nd exit onto the A 1250 (signpost Bishop's Stortford).
Continue on the A1250 until you get to the pub “Bricklayers Arms” and turn right at the mini roundabout up Bells Hill. Then follow the directions above.
From Bishop's Stortford Station
Bishops Stortford is on the London Liverpool St to Stansted and Cambridge lines, and is before Stansted when coming from London. It is approx. 15 minutes walk or £3 by taxi to here.
On leaving the station turn left at The Fountain, keep in left-hand lane over the bridge, turn right at the traffic lights at The Bridge Pub and go through the main street. At the next traffic lights just past the Corn Exchange turn left up the High St which runs into Windhill.
At the mini round-about at the top turn left and after 20 yards (20 metres), just before the “School” sign on the road, turn left down the first drive/lane, and No 17 is the 2nd house on the right (behind No 19). Entrance is through the gate into the garden.
From Stansted Airport by Public Transport
Take a bus (510 or 308) or a train from the airport to Bishops Stortford rail/bus interchange, and then follow the directions above from the station.
A taxi here from the airport is a fixed price of £15.00, and a return to the airport is £12 if booked locally.
